The truth is, they’ve done a brilliant job with this fragrance. Rouge is one of those perfumes that leaves no one indifferent. The opening is a spicy, earthy explosion (the saffron and beetroot really stand out), but as it settles, it becomes utterly hypnotic: that metallic note blended with rose and dusty leather is a true work of art.
It’s not a perfume for everyone; it’s daring, with plenty of personality and incredible staying power on the skin. I only need a couple of sprays and it lasts all day. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something unique and different from the mainstream.
